Jollyes, the Pet People, is putting the finishing touches to a makeover of its new Tile Hill store in Coventry following its acquisition from Bannerbrook Pets in November.
This week a brand new Jollyes sign has gone up over the entrance and the store will be given a new look and internal layout in time for re-opening this Friday, 8 April 2022 at 9.00am.
The makeover will make the shopping experience even more convenient for Coventry customers and their pets with more room to shop.
Over the course of the next few weeks the store will also get new tills and new equipment.
Jollyes bought Bannerbrook Pets in Gramercy Park, Banner Lane, Tile Hill, in November, bringing together two business dedicated to high quality products and personal service for owners and their animals.
All the colleagues who worked at Bannerbrook have been retained and Jollyes is currently recruiting three additional people to join the team.
Matt Godwin, Jollyes regional manager, said: “Bannerbrook has been a great addition to the Jollyes’ family, and we’re delighted to begin to repay the way customers have reacted since we bought the business, with this investment in new jobs, a new look and new layout to make shopping in the store even easier.
“But while we might look a little different, we’re all about the people here at Jollyes – and customers will find the same team, with the same pet expertise at the Tile Hill store.”
The acquisition of Bannerbrook Pets is part of an exciting expansion plan for Jollyes as it opens up to 20 new stores across the UK in 2022 through organic growth and acquisition.
From modest beginnings in Enfield as a single store in 1971, Jollyes has now grown into one of the leading pet food superstores with almost 70 locations across the UK alongside a market-leading position in Northern Ireland.
From Perth to Plymouth, Newry to Norwich, at Jollyes customers can find anything for their pet, from pet food, pet toys and an array of pet accessories.
Customers are actively encouraged to bring their pets into store, while customers shop because Jollyes people are passionate about pets.
Potty about puppies and crazy for cats, no matter what the animal, store colleagues are always on hand to help with anything from product advice, to picking the perfect pet and accessories.
Many stores also run community clinics offering vaccinations and other advice from trained vets. And if one of Jollyes stores isn’t close by, there’s helpful advice on Jollyes website where you can ask the expert.
Jollyes was recently named Pet Retail Chain of the Year at the Pet Industry Federation Awards.
