ProRep Beech Chips Coarse Grade 10 Litre is a cost-effective and dust-free substrate designed for a variety of larger reptiles, birds, and mammals. The coarse grade, ranging from 6 to 10mm, provides an ideal texture for animals that require a more substantial bedding material. Sourced from sustainable PEFC certified forests, these chips are produced from kiln-dried beech wood, ensuring a high-quality and environmentally responsible product. To use, simply spread the substrate evenly at the bottom of the enclosure to a depth of 1-2 inches (2.5-5cm).
Regular spot-cleaning is recommended, and a complete substrate replacement should occur every two to three weeks or more frequently if it becomes heavily soiled or wet. It"s crucial to note that if an under-tank heat mat is employed as a heat source, a thick layer of Beech Chips should be avoided to prevent overheating. Users are advised to refer to the heat mat manufacturer"s instructions for further guidance on appropriate usage.
