Roundworms and Tapeworms are nasty parasites that can cause chronic gastrointestinal problems. This is why it is important to worm your pooch regularly to keep it healthy and in tip-top condition. Since dogs and puppies that are not wormed regularly may get ill and eventually suffer from growth retardation, we are here with Beaphar One Dose Wormer Tablets to ensure this does not happen. Beaphar One Dose Wormer for Small Dogs is a UK authorised veterinary medicine, designed to kill all common roundworms and tapeworms. Made to be used on small dogs weighing up to 6kg, these worming pet tablets are safe and effective.
These Beaphar One Dose dog Wormer tablets are ideal for routine control of common canine nematodes and cestodes in the UK, such as toxocara canis, toxascaris leonina, ancylostoma caninum, uncinaria stenocephala, taenia ovis, taenia hydatigena, taenia pisiformis and dipylidium caninum. The pack contains three 100mg tablets, containing Nitroscanate as the active ingredient. Since these pet tablets are film-coated, they should be given whole. One tablet should be given as whole with the one fifth of the daily food ration in the morning when the dog’s stomach is empty. You can give the remaining food in the evening.
Make sure to weigh your pet before establishing the correct dosage. You can do this by weighing yourself on the bathroom scale, and then repeating whilst holding your pet. The difference is the weight of the dog. An adult dog should be wormed every three months. For puppies, the time span should be two weekly intervals from the age of 2 weeks to 8 weeks. Worming should then be carried out at 12, 16 and 24 weeks of age, after which you can follow the adult dog's regime of worming. For routine treatment, give one tablet per 2kg weight. If your dog weighs between 2.1 – 4kg, give 2 tablets, and for a body weight between 4.1 – 6kg, 3 tablets are needed.
