Parrot
Facts
The parrot family includes Parakeets, African Greys and Amazons. There are more than 350 species of birds that are referred to as parrots. They can live up to 50 years old so they are a huge commitment. They are very intelligent birds and you can even train some to talk.
Environment
Short tailed parrots will be happy in an indoor flight or a standard parrot cage. Long tailed varieties will need to be homed in an outside aviary or indoor flight
Seasonal Tips
You should always position your cage away from draughts and direct sunlight. Feather plucking can be caused by a poor diet, lack of exercise and boredom. Provide plenty of toys to reduce boredom.
