Horse Horse

Facts
Horses can live from between 25 to 35 years old. The Falabella miniature horse is one of the smallest breeds of horse in the world. They rarely grow taller than 8 hands (78cm/32inches). The biggest horse was a shire horse and stood at 21.2 hands high (7ft/2.2m) and weighed over (1,500 kg) or over 1.5 tons.

Environment
Horses can be housed in stables all year round with access to grazing or they can be housed out in fields that provide sufficient shelter in the winter months.

Seasonal Tips
In the winter months, provide your horse with a rug to keep them warm and ensure that they have access to shelter if they live out in the field all year round.
