Degu
Facts
Degus originate from Chile where they live in large colonies in deep burrows underground. They have a life span of 6 to 9 years old and will grow between 6-8 inches (15cm-20cm).
Environment
Provide your degu with either a large cage or large glass tank. Layer with wood shavings, rocks for hiding and levels to explore. Provide a dust bath so your degu can keep clean.
Seasonal Tips
Position your cage in a quiet area away from direct sunlight and protected from draughts.
