Chinchilla
Facts
Chinchillas originate from the Chilean Andes Mountains in South America. They can live up to 15 to 20 years old and grow between 9-11 inches (22cm-28cm).
Environment
Chinchillas are very active animals and need a lot of space to exercise. Provide your chinchilla with a dust bath containing chinchilla sand to allow them to keep clean and protect their coat.
Seasonal Tips
Ensure your chinchilla is away from draughts in the colder months. Chinchillas do not like heat and will suffer in temperatures that rise above 20C, so ensure a desired temperature is met.
