A Microchip Brings Gem Back Home
28 August 2007
Gem and Brian are reunited.

Saturday 25th August was the start of our charity weekend. Great fun was being had by all, when around 3pm a gentleman called Charlie Peel arrived at the store with a Black Labrador that he had found inside one of his pheasant pens.

He had called in to see if we knew the owner or were aware of a lost dog. Pip Allen was in the store from Second Chance Animal Trust, providing micro chipping at the time, and she offered to scan to see if the dog had been chipped. To her delight she found a chip and rang the dogs owner, Brian Goodwin. Surprised to hear that Pip had his dog, as he thought Gem was still in her kennel, he said he would be there as soon as possible.

On his arrival Gem started wagging her tail like mad, so pleased to see her owner and Brian was over joyed to see his dog safe and well, thanking Pip for reuniting them.

Malcolm Taylor store manager said, "We hold micro chipping days about twice a year at this store and it is fantastic to see how happy dog owners are when they are reunited with their lost pet. It proves that for a small cost Micro Chipping is in fact Priceless. Jollyes would also like to thank Pip, from Second Chance Animal Trust, for Micro Chipping pets in our store for the last four years."
