He did what many of us would never dare to. Adrian Mullan plunged 13,000 feet, travelling at 175 miles per hour all in the aid of Foyle Hospice! The sky dive, which was sponsored by Jollyes Petfood Superstores, took place over Garvagh.
Adrian, the store manager at Jollyes' Coleraine store, has always been the adventurous type and literally 'jumped' at the chance to take part in a sponsored skydive.
The dive raised £400 for Foyle Hospice in Londonderry. Adrian said: "I was delighted to be able to raise money for Foyle Hospice; they do so much to help patients and their families. The most amazing part of the dive was the 10,000 feet free-fall and I would definitely do it all over again for such a good cause!"
Foyle Hospice provides specialised care and support both in the inpatient unit and in the community, for patients with cancer and other progressive illnesses. This care also extends to the family and further ongoing support is provided for bereaved families. Foyle Hospice helps the communities of Derry, Tyrone, Donegal and Fermanagh.
Jim Warke, Jollyes Regional Manager for Northern Ireland, commented: "Jollyes is always eager to support local charities, and contribute to the community. Adrian is always keen for a challenge and we were pleased to help him in his fundraising efforts."
Jollyes has 11 pet food superstores spread throughout Northern Ireland and caters for all pet food and accessories needs. With 39 stores in the UK they stock thousands of products and promise that if they don't have the product you need they will try their utmost to supply it for you.
The crazy fundraising does not stop here; Adrian has a few more charity ideas up his sleeve which Jollyes will continue to support, so watch this space!
