If you think that your canine companion is a best in breed contender there is only one place to be seen this Saturday (28th April): at Norwich Union and Icenibulldog's Charity Dog Show.

The show is taking place at Waltheof Sports Centre, Sheffield, between 11am to 4pm, with all proceeds going to Everythingpets Rescue. The winning pooches will not only be crowned champions, they will also be in line to win a range of fabulous doggie prizes courtesy of Jollyes Petfood Superstores.

Everythingpets Rescue Centre is based in Retford, Nottinghamshire, and aims to help save the lives of animals that are being needlessly destroyed. All the animals that come into their care are vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped and they are also temperament tested so that Everythingpets can find them the perfect family where they will be safe and happy for the rest of their lives.

There will be nine categories in which your dog could shine, including: 'Dog with Waggiest Tail' and 'Best Sausage Catcher'!

Jollyes Sheffield store manager, Andrew Jeffreys said: "Each of these categories should generate lots of competition; there are some very talented Sheffield dogs out there! Jollyes are only too happy to donate prizes as this will not only be a fun day out for dogs and their owners, it will also help to raise money to help pets in need."

Throughout the day responsible ownership will also be promoted with taster 'Good Citizen' classes. Dog micro chipping services will also be available at £10 per dog.

Icenibulldogs, the dog show organiser's, said: "This is the first of these charity dog shows but we are planning to run them quarterly. We have been blown away with the support the show has received from Jollyes and other local businesses. It is sure to be a day filled with doggie fun and a great way to celebrate all our four legged friends."

Entry fee to the show is £3, but children and OAPs can visit for free. To enter your dog in a category is £5, and then £1 for each category thereafter. There will also be a raffle on the day priced at £1 per strip. Remember all the money is going to support pets in need.
