Celebrity Vet Trude Mostue Launches Jollyes

10 April 2007

Celebrity vet, Trude Mostue (BBC's 'Vets in Practice') will officially open Jollyes Pet Superstore in High Wycombe, this Saturday [14th April] between 2-4pm.

The store, located at Unit 1 Bellfield Road, will launch with an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 2pm by Trude, after which she will be on hand to answer pet related questions until 4pm.

High Wycombe store manager Tom Waller comments: "We are really looking forward to celebrating the launch of the new store which has brought seven jobs to High Wycombe. The first 100 visitors to attend the launch will receive a 'goodie' bag, provided by IAMS. We are giving away vouchers for 10% off purchases for the rest of April and there will be a children's competition to win Jollyes vouchers. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the opening!"

The store opening will also help to celebrate National Pet Month [7th April - 7th may 2007]. National Pet Month began as National Pet week in 1989 and has grown in popularity each year. During National Pet Month a range of events take place all over the country varying in size from large pet shows to small sponsored dog walks or school visits. Each event is aimed at enjoying the company of our pets and promoting responsible pet ownership.

Jollyes is a national chain of pet superstores which started with its own brand of foods in 1935 in Enfield. The High Wycombe store is Jollyes' 39th, stocking all major brands as well as its own.

Nick Pollard, Director at Jollyes comments: "Our success has been the ability to offer value for money through bulk offers, free parking and extended opening hours to suit the busy lifestyle of most households. We are delighted to be launching a store in High Wycombe and wish Tom and his team every success."
